Most everyone has a house plant, and every shopping mall has thousands of them. House plants (or tropical plants) have a calming and soothing effect of people. They can also cleanse the air of pollutants. Most foliage plants are easy to take care of and need little care. Some plants are more delicate than others and should be avoided. With new species and newly developed hybrids, there are so many choices for the novice and expert alike.

The most common reason for failure is too much water or not enough light (or a combination of the two). Tropicals are inexpensive and a gorgeous addition to any home. For less money than a quick meal at a fast food restaurant, you can have an indoor paradise - and feel good about being able to keep the plants alive.
